The Pain Service at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is offering the opportunity for the correct candidate to be appointed to the substantive role of Consultant in Chronic Pain and Anaesthesia , including acute pain. Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 420,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care to a wider area covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire. AAC Interview Date: 9th July 2025 - AM The candidate will be expected to work across both sites depending on the needs of the service. The job plan will include 10 Programmed Activities with a 1 in 12 on call commitment, which will work out as 1:12 weekends and 1:3 fixed weekday, delivered at St Helier Hospital. The job plan will include 3.5 PAs in Chronic pain and 0.625 PA in acute pain. The job plan includes 1.5 SPA for core mandatory training/governance in pain and anaesthetic, with an additional 0.5 SPA for mentoring and guidance under a senior supervisor for 12 months.
